E2U Decorative Concrete Stain is a water-based acrylic stain that is specially formulated to accent any decorative concrete surface. It is a translucent stain that is designed to blend with the base color over which it is applied. E2U Decorative Concrete Stain is a specially formulated water-based userfriendly stain for coloring concrete and cementitious overlays. E2U Decorative Concrete Stain is a decorative stain that penetrates the surface providing beautiful color that lasts. There are 20 standard Decorative Concrete Stain colors, but any of the 20 colors can be mixed together for customized flooring surface.

MOISTURE VAPOR EMISSIONS WARNING

All concrete floors without effective moisture vapor barrier are subject to possible moisture vapor transmission that may cause blistering anfailure of the coating system. It is the applicator’s responsibility to conduct calcium chloride and relative humidity probe testing to determine vapor emissions prior to applying any coating. Epoxy2U can supply moisture remediation products, MVB15 (MOISTURE VAPOR BARRIER). EPOXY2U, sales agents will not be responsible for coating failures due to undetected moisture vapor emissions.

CONCRETE PREPARATION

Before coating is applied, concrete must be: finished and moist to the touch. The best adhesion is achieved by applying E2U Decorative Concrete Stain to an unsealed concrete surface, but it will also adhere well to other coatings including itself. E2U Decorative Concrete Stain is a concrete stain that is designed to be translucent, blending with or accenting the base color that is showing through. Do not over-apply E2U Decorative Concrete Stain. It is not designed to be completely opaque. For large areas, the best results are achieved by spraying through an HVLP Sprayer (High Volume Low Pressure) or a Pump Sprayer. For smaller accent areas, a standard trigger sprayer is ideal. Sprayers whose tips can be adjusted from fine mist to stream will give the best results. E2U Decorative Concrete Stain can also be applied with a variety of faux finish techniques including rolling, brushing, sponging, and ragging. Water can be sprayed on during the application of the stain to blend different colors and soften hard edges.

CLEAN UP

This product can be cleaned up easily with water while it is still wet, but removal of dried product must be accomplished with a chemical paint remover.  

ADVANTAGES

Voids, cracks and imperfections will be seen in finished coating if the con-crete is not patched correctly. Patch concrete with cementious material. After the patching material is cured, diamond grind patch. If a non-patching material is used, contact a technical representative for a compatible and approved alternative.  

WARNING! SLIP AND FALL PRECAUTIONS

OSHA and the American Disabilities Act (ADA) have now set enforceable standards for slipresistance on pedestrian surfaces. The current coefficient of friction required by ADA is .6 on level surfaces and .8 on ramps. E2U recommends the use of angular slip-resistant aggregate in all coatings or flooring systems that may be exposed to wet, oily or greasy conditions. It is the contractor and end users’ responsibility to provide a flooring system that meets current safety standards. E2U or its sales agents will not be responsible for injury incurred in a slip and fall accident.      

Handling Precautions

Use only with adequate ventilation. Appropriate cartridge-type respirator must be used during application in confined areas. Avoid contact with skin. Some individuals may be allergic to epoxy resin. Protective gloves and clothing are recommended.

E2U products are warranted for one year after date of purchase. Please refer to the Limited Material warranty for additional clarification  

E2U Decorative Concrete Stain Products are a custom way to create and unique look for any concrete floor improvements, for all applications, interior or exterior. We currently have eight premium colors to choose from. Decorative Stain is the artificial modification of concrete into an enhanced, decorative concrete surface. This is achieved through the implementation and application of various chemicals that may be applied prior to or post the pouring process. Some of these systems or concrete types include the following: acid staining, stamped concrete, concrete countertops, polished concrete, decorative overlays, vertical overlays, and anything else you can creatively imagine.

E2U’s Decorative Stain Premium Colors are water-based, so they are environmentally friendly without messy cleanup. The application of this product is easy, quick, and worry-free. it can be placed in any kind of sprayer. Flood the surface with Decorative Stain and let dry. Since there is no chemical reaction (as with acid staining), Decorative Stain colors are predictable and consistent.
